The
length of work is approx-
imately 885 feet and the width
of Pine Street
will be 26 feet
between face of curb.
Concrete curb and gutter will
be
provided with new catch
basins and new storm sewers
to improve drainage
along the
roadway. The new
storm sewer
will tie into an existing 24”

Dodge Street which outlets to
the west. The storm sewer outlet was recently
improved with CDBG funds in 2008. An existing 6” water line will be
replaced with an 8” line between Harris Street and Dodge Street. The city will
coordinate with the EPA for approval of the water line as needed and to obtain a
permit to install. Driveway aprons will be rebuilt with concrete and concrete
sidewalks will be provided on both sides of the road to tie into existing
sidewalks on Cherry Street, Harris Street and Dodge Street. Lawn areas will be
graded and seeded and street trees will be added along the roadway.
The project will be designed for construction in two phases. Phase 1 will be
from Cherry Street to Harris Street and Phase 2 will be from Harris Street to
Dodge Street. Phase 1 is planned for construction in 2012 and Phase 2 in 2014.
The project schedule is to have Phase 1 advertised for bidding in May 2012.
