Sidewalk Program
The Annual Sidewalk Program addresses deficiencies in the City’s sidewalk
system. Sidewalk improvements involve the removal and replacement of
deteriorated and unsafe walks along with filling in sections of sidewalk where
currently none exist.
The Annual Sidewalk Program also consists of updating sidewalk
and sidewalk ramps to meet current ADA standards.
The selection of sidewalks for improvement is based upon a variety of factors
including:
Work in correspondence with the Annual Street Program
Improving sidewalk and sidewalk ramps to meet ADA standards
Addressing citizen complaints
Improving sidewalk that has been damaged by City trees
Improving sidewalk on streets not associated with the Annual Street
Program
