Middlebury Road
The
City of Kent Service Department has recorded 17 total waterline breaks along the
existing Middlebury Road watermain since the year 2000. Recently, there has been
an increase in frequency of breaks.
The existing Middlebury Road waterline is an 8-inch cast iron pipe
constructed in the year 1960.
Approximately 3,500 feet of watermain replacement is proposed.

This project will tie into the new Middlebury/Cherry watermain and continue
northeast along Middlebury Road, terminating with a connection into the Longmere
Drive watermain.
Pending design and available funding, this project could be expanded to
encompass the north side of the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad tracks.
Project Status:
The Middlebury Road Water Main project design phase is scheduled to begin
June 2008..
