The City of Kent is dedicated to serving the needs of our
diverse business community by providing an economic environment
whereby your business may grown and proper. To this end, the
Economic Development Program works to promote the maintenance
and expansion of the local economic base and your investment in
Kent. It is through this joint effort between the public
and private sectors that the economic health of Kent is
maintained.
DOWNTOWN PARKING CHANGES
As everyone can see, there are many
exciting changes occurring with the downtown redevelopment in
Kent. Unfortunately, with change comes some inconvenience and,
at times, chaos.
The City's Traffic, Safety, & Engineering Committee has been
working hard to come up with some reasonable solutions for those
people working and visiting the downtown.

To meet these ends, the City of Kent's Economic Development goals are:
• To provide assistance to existing businesses within the City;
• To facilitate the creation of business startups within the City;
and
• To attract new businesses to the City of Kent.
